DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Responsible for managing specific Key Accounts (OEMs) in Engine Business Unit Off Highway Business to drive top line and bottom line.
  • Formulate and implement initiatives to enhance Cummins’ position in the OEM account and increase wallet share.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to support OEMs' growth and strengthen relationships with customers.
  • Marketing Strategy: Leads the development of marketing plans by preparing market research, pricing analyses, and interpreting data for discussion with marketing leaders.
  • Works with leaders to develop marketing communication plans and prepares drafts of marketing communications.
  • Leads project management support and communicates plans, deadlines, and achievements to marketing leaders.
  • Project and Communication Management: Works across regions & customers with cross functional teams to execute projects.
  • Participates as a representative of Marketing on Value Package Introduction & change management teams.
  • Understands the global brand strategy and aligns work products to that strategy.
  • Customer Insight and Continuous Improvement: Documents and understands marketing and sales systems and processes.
  • Collects and interprets customer satisfaction data; integrates Voice of the Customer into marketing plans.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities as the marketing function representative.
  • Coaches less experienced marketing specialists.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Education: College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related subject required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations

  • Marketing Plan Management: Developing marketing mix recommendations based on the 4 P’s (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement) to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives; guiding and influencing cross-functional implementation and creating a framework to evaluate market responses and business performance.
  • Translating Relevant Market Data: Collecting and categorizing customer voices and market information by leveraging appropriate research tools and techniques; analyzing research findings to identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions.
  • Valuing Differences: Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

  • Knowledge of and experience using the four P's of marketing (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement) required.
