American Express Company seeks Managers, Data Governance to collect and analyze data across business units to ensure compliance with related internal data management policies. Inspect data to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's data governance capabilities, consistent with governing corporate standards. Collect, document, and ensure retention of critical data and related information for UAT purposes. Prepare reports, interpreting and evaluating issues with user requirements, to detect insufficient controls, inspect anomalies, and re-tool data governance policies and procedures to ensure

optimal compliance. Recommend changes to best practices and methodologies to assist in the implementation of data governance concepts.

Position requires a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with the creation and execution of formal data governance and data management programs. Experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: data management and data governance concepts, including metadata, lineage, and data quality; performing validation checks on data quality rules; data management tools, including SQL; conducting root-cause analysis of data quality issues; data reporting using SQL; and Confluence, Jenkins, JIRA, POSTMAN, pricing engine test, regression testing, REST, SOAP Web Services, Splunk, TestLink, and User Acceptance testing (UAT). Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.

Job Location: Phoenix, AZ 

Salary Range: $100,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually
