How will you make an impact in this role?
This position plays a critical role in driving overall business for American Express (Thailand). The Product Manager is responsible for the strategic development, P&L management, and growth of respective product portfolio. This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from concept through launch and ongoing performance management. The Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, risk, finance, and technology, to deliver innovative card solutions that meet customer needs and achieve the company's financial goals. The position reports to Director Product Management and Loyalty.

The successful candidate is someone who has deep curiosity on customer behavior and able to articulate data into marketing strategies. Since this is an end to end role, the person is also expected to drive execution with stakeholders. He/she is expected to be results-driven and detail-oriented.

Necessary skills required for the role are; product management, marketing strategy, P&L analysis, customer insights, competitor intelligence, data analytics, communication development and project management.
Specifically, the person will be responsible for the following:
Customer & Industry Expertise
- Optimize data from internal and external sources to support data-driven decisions
- Optimize and articulate data to inform internal stakeholder on regular basis to drive strategy
- Continuously maintain competitor intelligence to develop a competitive product positioning
- Identify market and global trends, customer needs, and competitive gaps to create innovative card products
Product Lifecycle Management
- Manage end-to-end product lifecycle
- Responsible for portfolio financial performance and P&L
- Support budgeting process
- Determine the pricing framework and fee adjustment
- Lead new product introduction
Product Strategy Formulation, Communication, and Execution
- Develop and drive marketing strategies and campaigns across product portfolio
- Define product features, benefits, and value propositions that differentiate the Amex cards in the marketplace
- Formulate portfolio strategy to drive sustainable competitive advantage
- Develop product positioning and collaborate with stakeholder to execute strategies effectively in a timely manner
- Regular communicate with key internal stakeholders on product strategy
- Develop communication and marketing plan and execute marketing activities
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Branding and Acquisition teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, and offline and online media strategies to deliver effective marketing campaigns
- Partner with risk and finance teams to ensure product profitability, compliance, and risk management.
- Collaborate with technology and operations teams to ensure seamless product implementation and customer experience.
- Work with local Legal and Compliance to ensure all card products comply with local regulations and industry standards.
- Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and adjust product strategies as needed.
- Develop and manage the product P&L, ensuring that financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Work with finance to create product forecasts, budgets, and financial review both pre and post program evaluation.Partnering with relevant units to support and drive product management wholistically
Qualifications
- 5+ years marketing experience, preferably in developing and rolling out end to end marketing campaigns
- Deep understanding of credit card products, market trends, and regulatory environment.
- Strong ability to drive results, and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
- Analytical, sound business acumen, attention to details and processes
- Have an eye for details and aptitude for research and analysis
- Excellent written and spoken communication in English with ability to contribute to large meetings, create compelling decks and external facing materials
- Ability to work and collaborate in a complex environment and build strong relationships within the organization
- Self-motivated and able to operate in environment of evolving priorities
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent required, MBA preferred
- Strong Will to Win and passion for marketing and strategy
- Proficiency in both written and verbal English and Thai and excellent in interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
