About the Role:
The APAC Finance Center is a high-performing and culturally diverse team. The department's key priority is to act as a center of excellence to drive alignment and improvement of financial reporting processes and systems in the APAC region.
In this role, you will prepare monthly financial statements for submission to the Corporate level. You will also be involved in various professional accounting functions for one or more businesses within Stryker's operations, such as monitoring accounts, reviewing and analyzing documentation, transactions, and reconciliation, managing legal entity month-end closure, and managing the reporting process. There will also be opportunities to collaborate with different stakeholders to contribute to process improvement and system transformation projects in the region.
What you will be doing:
- Capture, track, and report revenue and expenses; determine appropriate procedures for accounting record preparation, research of transactions, and reporting end-to-end.
- Perform accounting month-end close procedures, run and analyze financial reports, and prepare financial statements for submission to Corporate for consolidations.
- Work with BPO to oversee, reconcile, and resolve problems related to accounting entries requiring professional knowledge and judgment.
- Maintain and review accounting process controls; recommend and implement any approved improvements.
- Develop and maintain desktop procedures and process documentation for Stryker processes or review DTPs prepared by BPO.
- Test, execute, and document internal controls audit programs according to SOX and Corporate policies.
- Recommend, assist, test, or implement process streamlining, system improvements, or workflow changes.
- Collect data and information to perform research on transaction details. Ensure work complies with corporate and accounting policies.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 years of audit experience in Big 4 / 2nd tier firms OR 5 to 7 years of commercial accounting experience in MNCs.
- CPA qualification. CPA finalists will also be considered.
- Strong MS Excel proficiency; PowerBI report development skill is valued.
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to convey information clearly and effectively to business partners and stakeholders.
