DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Warehouse Management - IT Business Analyst to join our team specializing in Engineering; this role is 100% onsite in Florence, KY.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Defining Business Success : You’ll help the business identify and document key success criteria for small to medium initiatives, ensuring clear goals and objectives.
- Collaborative Project Definition : By working with teams on larger projects, you’ll contribute to comprehensive project documentation and definition, enhancing project clarity and direction.
- Functional Requirements Analysis : You’ll elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements across various aspects, ensuring that all necessary details are captured for successful project execution.
- Non-Functional Requirements Documentation : Your work in documenting non-functional requirements will ensure that the solutions meet performance, security, and usability standards.
- Requirements Management : You’ll manage requirements changes effectively, ensuring that stakeholders understand and approve the impact of any changes, maintaining project alignment.
- Solution Assessment and Validation : By assisting in solution assessment and validation, you’ll ensure that both functional and technical specifications meet the business needs, leading to successful implementations.
- Testing and Risk Mitigation : Your involvement in reviewing test plans and participating in testing will help mitigate risks and ensure that solutions meet all requirements.
- Building Positive Relationships : Developing strong relationships with business and technical teams will facilitate smooth downstream processes and support the delivery of business value.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Business Analysis Planning : Identify the activities needed for business analysis, considering the five business aspects, level of detail, and approach for eliciting requirements. Plan resources and techniques to document business needs and solution characteristics.
- Business Process Design : Discover, model, analyze, measure, and improve business processes using standards, templates, tools, and methodologies to optimize business performance.
- Requirements Analysis : Evaluate relationships and interdependencies between requirements based on their complexity and value to the business to determine feasibility and prioritization.
- Requirements Elicitation : Discover and document functional and non-functional requirements using the Business Analysis Toolkit. Model the five aspects and create use cases to effectively communicate business needs and solution characteristics for solution design.
- Solution Assessment and Validation : Assess proposed solutions using requirements traceability throughout the life cycle to determine if they deliver the desired business outcome.
- Solution Functional Fit Analysis : Decompose systems into component parts to study how well they interact holistically to meet business, technical, security, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Solution Modeling : Create, design, and formulate models, diagrams, and documentation using industry standards, tools, version control, and build and test automation to meet various requirements.
- Solution Validation Testing : Validate configuration item changes or solutions using defined best practices, including SDLC standards, tools, and metrics, to ensure they work as designed and meet customer requirements.
- Project Issue and Risk Management : Identify, assess, and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and disciplines. Drive actions to minimize, monitor, and control risks and issues, maximizing positive outcomes.
- Business Need Definition : Define the business outcome that the proposed work will provide using the Business Analysis Toolkit. Model the five aspects and create use cases to justify the investment of resources.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Minimal relevant work experience required. 1-3 years of experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities include:
- Apply knowledge of warehouse operations and Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System capabilities to determine and implement the best system solution to new operations requirements primarily via WMS configuration.
- Develop working knowledge of integrations between ERP systems and WMS and design/implement modifications to the integration configuration to meet new business requirements.
- Consult with WMS Support team to help solve difficult support issues.
- 100% onsite in Florence, KY
Skills/Experience required/desired:
- Open to new college graduates within IT or Industrial engineering backgrounds.
- A basic level of knowledge on computer programing is required.
- Strong SQL skills are desired, and a basic knowledge of SQL is required. MOCA preffered.
