Your Role:
The specialist is responsible for primary and secondary market quality in Invesco ETFs listed in EMEA and works closely with exchanges, lead market makers, authorized participants (APs) and buy-side trading desks. The specialist is responsible for understanding the nuances of trading ETFs spanning all asset classes and is tasked with ensuring an efficient trading ecosystem for Invesco UCITS ETFs.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce quantitative analytics and research to assist clients across all channels in achieving best execution when trading Invesco ETFs. Provide education on ETF liquidity and effectively communicate specific trading strategies and associated costs.
- Assist in pre-trade analytics and reporting platform and supporting the data requirements for ETF Execution and Liquidity Services team.
- Liaise with ETF Portfolio Management, ETF Operations, Technology and external data vendors to promote cross team’s projects aimed at improving the business unit data capabilities.
- Monitor volume, inflows/outflows, premiums/discounts, short interest and borrow and identify trends to support sales teams. Monitor articles, white papers and blogs that highlight potential issues with ETFs and help coordinate the proper response.
- Build visualization tools, create interactive applications and automate tasks to improve the Capital Markets team workflow.
- Develop knowledge to promote Invesco ETF usage in several ways including delta one (ETF vs Futures), securities finance (lending, collateral), structured products and options strategies etc.
- Develop and maintain digital infrastructure linking disparate data sets including Bloomberg, custodian and proprietary data points to enable and empower Global ETF Capital Markets team.
- Collaborates with internal working groups including product development and research to enhance new and existing products.
The Experience You Bring:
Our high performing team is seeking candidates who innovate, operate effectively in an agile environment, challenge the status quo and are driven to succeed.
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent with 5+ years data analyst experience.
- Multi-asset knowledge including, fixed income, equities, derivatives (futures, swaps, etc.) and FX. ETF capital markets experience will be a definite plus.
- Strong analytical, project management and problem-solving skills, ability to identify root issues and to recommend solutions that support the company’s business objectives.
- Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, VBA, C++, etc.), SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg.
- Good relationship building and collaboration skills. Ability to understand and articulate complex investment concepts and strategies.
- Ability to work in fast paced dynamic environment, drive forward key initiatives and manage workflow on simultaneous projects.
- Self-directed and comfortable with establishing objectives and then working independently to achieve desire outcome.
- Learning agility and capacity to rapidly learn the ETF business, including development of a keen understanding of the drivers of success in the ETF business.
