Job DescriptionYour Role:
The Senior Director, Strategy Planning & Execution will be a critical enabler to the definition and execution of our Investments & Americas strategy with responsibilities spanning several areas strongly interacting with our
management team.
You will be responsible for:
- Support the Americas Investments and Commercial Leadership teams in the definition and delivery of their business strategy
- In partnership with relevant business leaders, shape and drive the execution of strategic priorities and key initiatives
- Proactively establish strong working relationships with regional and global teams to build understanding of our business and to support delivery of key projects
- Support execution of strategic initiatives and assessments as they arise and provide market analysis where needed
- Support elements of Invesco Leadership teams’ operating rhythm in the Americas in terms of content focus and convening
- Support the Americas & Investments COO team in its strategic communication and engagement across Invesco
- Support preparation of key updates and reports such as Corporate Board, Legal Entity Boards and Senior Invesco Leadership updates
- Keep abreast of industry trends and changes
- Ensure continued strategic coherence between the firm-wide strategy and business unit/regional strategic initiatives, with a focus on the implementation planning phase
- Act as an advocate of the firm-wide strategy to build alignment across business units/regions around Invesco’s strategic vision and priorities
- Collaborate with partners across the broader firm to support prioritization and ‘interlock’ of strategic initiatives proposed by business units/regions
- Foster a culture of innovation by acting as a catalyst for generating ideas, leading pilots to quickly test these new ideas, and deploying solutions that are successful
- Conduct market analysis, trend monitoring, and competitive reviews to uncover gaps vs. industry-leaders; implement enhancements to create a world-class capability
- Guide business leaders as they translate strategic priorities into implementation plans to execution monitoring, and ongoing strategic coherence – ensure appropriate strategic KPIs are set
- Support ad hoc special projects, e.g. new business and market entry plans
The experience you bring:
- 10+ years relevant work experience in technical and leadership roles
- MBA and/or CFA/CIMA preferred
- Broad, sophisticated product knowledge in order to effectively present Invesco’s strategies
- Must possess a client centric mindset that can build a business plan that delivers client-oriented solutions to meet their investment goals and needs
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across all departments to deliver client solutions
- Bold strategic vision with a proven track record of influencing and driving change within an organization and building a culture of transformation within a team environment
- Exceptional presentation & meeting management skills
- High energy, impeccable work ethic and the passion to build a business
- Well-developed analytical skills with a working knowledge of the investment industry and the current issues facing our prospects and clients.
- Significant understanding of complex investment concepts with the ability to represent a broad range of investment disciplines and a diverse vehicle delivery platform
- Solid business acumen including ability to think strategically, exhibit sound business judgement, and demonstrated strong drive-for-results
