Role: Resident Engineer / Advance Services Consultant- Subscriber Management Domain

About the Position:
This is a highly technical role, providing primarily onsite post-sales support under the Juniper Networks Advance Services Team. Consultant will be required to have expertise on Juniper’s MX -Series with Services (Junos Subscriber Management, IPSec, CGNAT etc.).
Responsibilities
- This position will be an Individual Contributor Role
- Lead requirement gathering, design & technology workshop on Best Practices review, design review, documentation.
- Work to enhance network operation support process including troubleshooting guideline, automation & best practices.
- Validation & testing of Mops, features and functionality testing.
- Assist customer & partner with implementation, integration or migration planning.
- Ongoing informal trainings related to operational aspects.
- Assist to troubleshoot critical & major issues along with TAC, Partner & Customer team
- Acting as a Technical lead for major network deployments and migrations post FNI.
- Follow the Juniper Advance Services engagement and delivery processes, working closely with the Service Manager.
- Work closely with colleagues and customer’s personnel to help in day-to-day operations & major upgrade activities.
- Participate & lead all operational reviews with customer & partner
- Ensure prompt response to Juniper & Customer teams for any suspected escalation
- Provide informal training (Knowledge Transfer workshops) to Juniper Networks partners and customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer's technical management and teams.
- Tracking and reporting of issues found during testing, Implementation and migration
- Work directly with highly knowledgeable group of Service Provider customers.
- Understand Service provider core & edge network, Troubleshoot complicated hardware and software issues, support to replicate customer environments and network problems in the lab.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong design, implementation & troubleshooting experience
- Commitment to delivering a remarkable customer experience
- (B.Tech/B. E) or similar discipline in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
- Strong understanding of -IP Packet flow, OSI & TCP layers
- Layer 3 - IP and related technologies (ICMP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, CGNAT, GRE, QoS, VRRP)
- Ethernet, 802.1Q, PPP, PPPoE, PPPoA, IPv6/Dual-Stack, DHCP, AAA and related protocols such as Radius, Diameter, DNS
- IP-related protocols including IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, QoS, EVPN solutions
- Good Experience in Metro Ethernet, Broadband technologies and seamless MPLS, QoS and IP related services
- Strong Service Provider background
- Very strong knowledge (CCIE/JNCIE level) of the design principles and operations in SP networks.
- Extensive experience in a technical role including strong experience supporting large SP networks and mobile backhaul solutions
Experience/Background Desired:
- 08+ years’ experience in the telecommunications industry
- Hands-on experience on Juniper devices will be a big plus
Additional Qualifications:
- Some experience with at least one programming language. Python is preferred. Should be able to use a programming language to write basic scripts. (e.g., log parsing, sending API requests, automating everyday tasks)
Education:
- Bachelor's in technology or Engineering (B.Tech/B.E) or similar discipline in Electronics or Electronics & Communication Engineering
