Responsibilities
  • Conduct both manual and automated testing on a web-based data visualization application to ensure functionality and performance
  • Define detailed test cases and implement robust, scalable test workflows to support high-quality product releases
  • Monitor test results, identify issues and bugs, and collaborate with developers to address and resolve them effectively
  • Design, create, and maintain key datasets and services that support ongoing development and testing efforts
  • Contribute to defining product roadmaps and strategies, working closely with a small, agile team
  • Engage directly with users to gather insights, identify their needs, and help tailor product features to improve user experience
  • Assist in evaluating product quality and readiness for release, ensuring it meets the highest standards
Requirements
  • 2+ years of industry experience in QA and testing of web applications; experience with building, testing, and shipping software
  • Passionate about quality, detail-oriented, and skilled at identifying and fixing software defects
  • Hands-on experience with test case management tools (such as TestRail) and test automation frameworks (such as Selenium) for web applications
  • Basic scripting and programming skills in languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell
  • Interest in GIS, data visualization, and real-time situational awareness, with a desire to learn more
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex problems and solutions
  • Bachelor's in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Recommended Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile software development methods (Scrum, and more)
  • Familiarity with database and web server administration
  • Experience with JavaScript charting libraries, reporting and/or dashboarding software
  • Experience testing web applications on mobile platform(s)

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$74,984-$128,544 USD
