It ensures application, cost-effectiveness, performance, reliability, and manufacturability. The position involves cross-functional communication to assess design concepts and resolve product issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate field-based issues or Value Package Introduction (VPI) program concerns, recommend actions, and own problem resolution from a design perspective.
  • Apply design processes such as Critical Design Decisions, System Design and Validation, Design Review, iDFMEA, GD&T, CREO, ANSYS Workbench for high-quality decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional experts to communicate design intent through Design Review packages for Product Preceding Technology (PPT), Value Package Introduction (VPI), or Value Package Change Request (VPCR) teams.
  • Support design decisions in concept selection and optimization for PPT, VPI, or VPCR initiatives.
  • Independently execute established processes, providing direction to technicians or temporary student employees as needed.
  • Contribute to team goals while developing proficiency in key competency areas.
