DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

  • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) :
  • Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
  • Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Promote interdependence by looking out for one another.
  • Correct hazards within your control and capabilities.
  • Recognize how your work may impact the environment and work to minimize the negative impact.
  • Engage in HSE training.
  • Quality :
  • Follow all applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards.
  • Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
  • Perform quality inspections.
  • Identify and control non-conforming material.
  • Delivery :
  • Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products to meet customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate a high level of competency in core work skills.
  • Achieve production goals.
  • Work at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks.
  • Perform planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
  • Remain flexible and perform other miscellaneous duties as required to meet production goals.
  • Work with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.
  • Teamwork :
  • Communicate effectively with the assigned team and all support teams.
  • Complete training and personal development in line with business requirements.
  • Participate actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 1.5 to 2.5 years of experience required.
  • Ability to operate machines to deliver qualitative output as per cycle time.
  • Willingness to work across all three shifts as required.
  • Maintain 5S standards and cleanliness of machines and surrounding areas.
  • Participate in continual improvement initiatives such as FIFI, Q-Pro, and Kaizen.
  • Ensure bottleneck machines run without interruption.
  • Enhance skill levels on machines and engage in preventive and process maintenance.
  • Improve Right First Time (RFT) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by addressing losses and rejections.
  • Adhere to break and shift start-end timings.
  • Plan leaves in coordination with the Manager to avoid equipment idle time.
  • Support other lines/functions as required by business needs.
  • Follow tasks assigned by the Team Leader/Manager.
  • Basic knowledge about welding operations.
  • Basic knowledge about Cobot & Robot teaching.
  • Basic knowledge about assembly line operations.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in different types of PLC languages like Ladder logic.
  • Hands-on experience in different Siemens software like Simatic Manager, TIA Portal.
  • Knowledge of different networking & communication systems like Profibus, Profinet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.
  • Experience in data transfer between PLC, HMI, SCADA, DC tools.
  • Good communication skills to interact with suppliers’ engineering teams.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Good analytical skills for any technical issues.
  • Ability to multitask and follow up with vendors to get work done on priority.
