About the role:
This role provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to work for a top-tier global real estate private equity business. The role will primarily support the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) (Asset Management) to drive key operational processes and strategic initiatives (such as Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”), insurance, valuations, data & technology etc.) related to the asset management of our real estate investments.
As an APAC regional role, the individual will have the opportunity to be involved in developing and implementing asset management best practices across different countries, as well as collaborating with key stakeholders across different business functions (portfolio management, acquisitions, investment strategy, finance and technology).
Depending on the individual’s performance, they may be offered a permanent position at the end of the 24-month program if they have performed well. Performance will be assessed throughout the program.
Key responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the COO (Asset Management), develop and define operational excellence, and ensure smooth regional execution for the Asset Management function in APAC.
Work with asset managers and portfolio managers of real estate funds to prepare and deliver accurate and timely reports.
Ensure steady progress of key strategic initiatives and manage business KPIs for the Asset Management team, including regional projects.
Coordinate and manage regular internal asset management review meetings.
Assist on ESG initiatives (such as decarbonization of properties & monitoring against climate-related risks), including preparing analysis and reporting to investors, monitoring implementation of projects and tracking towards set targets.
Liaise and discuss with external partners such as consultants and insurance providers.
Work with various global teams to develop and implement our APAC data governance and technology framework.
The Experience You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree level or above education background, ideally in real estate, finance, accounting, economics or business-related subjects.
2-5 years’ professional experience in finance/ investment banking, property brokerage, auditing, consulting, or related fields.
Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across different seniority levels and departments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and basic financial modelling.
Familiarity with real estate investment fundamentals would be beneficial.
Superior quantitative, analytical and numerical ability.
Strong time management skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at hand.
Strong problem-solving ability.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Fluency in English, other Asian language skills would be a definite advantage.
