Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

    Prepare and review tax documents required for reclaims and relief at source
    Monitor the application of the correct withholding tax as per rules
    Ensure that reclaims are filed timely
    Work closely with regional representatives of the funds.
    Liaisons with sub-custodian, tax advisor and tax authorities as needed
    Maintain historical documentation.
    Clear backlog of forms on file.


WORK EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: 

    2-4 years of experience with federal tax treatment of securities and taxation of mutual funds is preferred
    Strong understanding of Tax laws and withholdings taxes
    Knowledge about the Double Tax Treaty Agreements, International Taxation, Custody Operations, Relief at source and Reclaim
    Experience in International Taxation and Tax Treaty is an added advantage.
    Strong analytical skills, Detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications 

FORMAL EDUCATION: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
    A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance and/or equivalent work experience.
    Semi qualified CA / Semi qualified CMA
    Financial services industry related certifications.
