What you will do:
As a Staff Automation Engineer - Power Platform at Stryker, you will lead the development, deployment, and optimization of scalable and secure automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI) to enhance efficiency and drive innovation. You will manage automation projects from concept to deployment, ensuring best practices in design, development, testing, and maintenance. Collaborating with end users, business analysts, and project managers, you will translate requirements into functional solutions, support and enhance existing systems, and maintain comprehensive documentation. You will also mentor team members and oversee testing to ensure the accuracy, stability, and timely delivery of automation initiatives.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
- Solution Development and Implementation: Develop, test, and implement Power Platform solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and software development standards, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while addressing technical challenges.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor solution performance and usage, identifying and implementing improvements for efficiency and compliance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business analysts and end-users to define requirements and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals.
- User Training and Support: Provide training and support to users and developers, enhancing their skills and effectiveness with the Power Platform.
- Documentation and Change Management: Maintain detailed solution documentation and manage changes efficiently to minimize disruption.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive testing and risk management procedures to ensure solution integrity, stability, and data security.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay current with Power Platform developments, implementing new features and improvements based on business needs.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- +5 years of experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing automation solutions with platforms like Microsoft Power Platform, coupled with a strong foundation in software development and programming languages like Python, JavaScript, .NET, and C#.
- At least 2 years of experience in a senior role, specifically with a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform.
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Any other language is a plus.
- Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform or similar technologies are highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and security best practices for the Power Platform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability in agile environments to translate business requirements into functional specifications, leading to efficient and effective implementation of automation projects throughout the software development life cycle.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement, problem decomposition, and code analysis to deliver creative automation solutions.
- Ability to learn new automation tools and technologies quickly and adapt to changing requirements and environments.
