Job DescriptionYour Role
The primary role of this position is to work on projects that will deliver new innovative solutions for our Salesforce CRM implementations at Invesco. You are responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment and ongoing support of the system to meet business requirements. Development activities should be completed within expected delivery dates and should adhere to all Invesco development standards. The ability to communicate with both business partners and technology professionals is a must.
As an advanced engineer, you bring to the table, a strong development experience working with the Salesforce CRM platform, related Salesforce tools, AppExchange products and a strong experience in working on Salesforce.com REST API integrations using ESB’s like MuleSoft or Dell Boomi. Strong inclination towards analyzing and solving problems. You would be a highly motivated, resourceful, team-oriented contributor and adept in working with Salesforce lightning experience. Working within an agile environment, the Advanced Engineer will develop code and provide solutions to meet business needs and Invesco development standards. You are a self-starter, proficient in oral and written communications, with the ability to work independently and as a productive member of the project team. Experience working with scaled agile framework or other similar agile methodologies is a must.
You will be responsible for:
- Working closely with product owners, developers, and architects to design and deploy technology solutions to meet business needs.
- Develop Apex classes, Apex triggers, Aura components, Lightning web Components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce platform to support business requirements.
- Building integrations using REST APIs, and managing existing integrations as required by the business functionality and supporting existing ETL’s and data integrations.
- Deployment and management of code base across environments.
- Delivering artifacts, technical design documents and architectural diagrams that meet business and team requirements.
- Collaborating with team members and participating in Agile scrum ceremonies and project planning sessions with stakeholders.
- Analyze and fix production issues that comes up from time to time.
- Work with the team to continuously improve process and methodologies, improve code quality, reduce tech debt, and improve efficiency.
The experience you bring:
- Four (4) or more years of development experience on Salesforce platform.
- Strong experience in release management, code promotion, CI/CD tools like Copado, Auto Rabbit, and version control platforms like GitHub.
- Strong experience on REST API and using ESB’s like MuleSoft.
- Working with JavaScript framework combined with markup languages like CSS.
- Exposure to UI/UX frameworks like React and Angular.
- Experience in handling IDE’s like Visual Studio Code, Salesforce Code Builder, and data loading tools.
- Working with AppExchange products and add Salesforce add-ons.
- Experience with Agile development methods and processes.
- Well versed with working with large data volumes for real time and batch integrations.
- Some scripting experience in Python is preferable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Driven to excellence and high standards and is enthusiastic to step outside the comfort zone to learn new technology stacks.
