We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Cloud/Machine Learning (ML) DevOps Engineer to join our growing AutoCAD team. As a DevOps Engineer at Autodesk, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing new service offerings on top of a strong cloud foundation. Reporting to the Engineering Manager in the AutoCAD group, you will be involved in streamlining our development and deployment processes, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring the scalability and security of our infrastructure. You'll be working as part of a larger DevOps team that strives to deliver high quality cloud solutions and infrastructures for the multi-platform AutoCAD application that serves millions of users. We support hybrid work environments. This role is hybrid in downtown Vancouver.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to the engineers and be accountable for the engineering output
Collaborate closely with product management, product engineering, software architect, experience designer and other cross-functional cross-geo partners in delivering world class solutions to business problems
Embody a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement with a focus on performance, scalability, privacy, and security
Design and implement new service offerings on top of a strong cloud foundation
Support development teams in leveraging machine learning operations (MLOps)
Drive the design, implementation, and management for expanding observability infrastructure, keeping up to date with new technologies
Lead sustainable incident response, blameless postmortems, and production improvements that result in direct business opportunities
Collaborate with software development and the infrastructure team to design, implement, and maintain multiple business offerings
Automate deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure using modern DevOps tools and practices
Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
Implement and maintain configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
Collaborate in designing and implementing security best practices throughout the development and deployment pipelines
Periodical On-Call responsibility, alongside your fellow team members
Define and document best practices across all pillars of DevOps/SRE
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Proven experience in DevOps / SRE or a related field
10+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
Proven technical leadership skills, proven ability to coach others. Abilities to lead and influence up, down, and across the organization
Demonstrates mature judgment when making engineering decisions, and can reliably make the call between elegant and practical solutions
Experience with Agile development methodologies including Scrum and Test Driven Development
A passion for everything performance, observability, availability, scalability, and security with experience delivering and operating cloud services on public cloud infrastructure over multi-year and multi-release cycles
Expertise in DevOps / SRE practices, including IaC, configuration management, container technologies, microservices, CI/CD processes, etc.
Excellent problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $131,500 and $180,840. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Diversity & Belonging
