DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):
  • Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Engage in HSE training.
  • Quality:
  • Follow applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on material planning master data (lead time, order quantities, etc.) and take action to support Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
  • Work with Quality to disposition non-conforming material in a timely manner.
  • Delivery:
  • Manage part change requests and ramp up/ramp down activities to meet global aftermarket demand while minimizing global excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to set initial stocking levels for VPI/NPI P&L introductions and ensure part readiness to meet target launch dates.
  • Confirm Planners are initiating No Source Cases as needed on parts planned by regional sites.
  • Work with Purchasing and other support teams to properly set up local/dual sourced parts.
  • Take ownership of Hazmat part setup to drive compliance with Cummins guidelines and government regulations.
  • Coordinate inventory bank builds, monitor demand movement from recurring to non-recurring, and other campaign-related activities.
  • Execute planning parameter review and improvement work within the function.
  • Support Supplier Materials Agreements to reduce lead time and order quantities, balancing supply with demand.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for E&O and initiate proper inventory disposition in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Demonstrate the target level of proficiency in core competencies.
  • Remain flexible and perform other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.

  • Participate in improvement (quality, safety, process, material flow, etc.) projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience:

  • Requires significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience. 5-7 years of work experience preferred.

  • Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Using PFEP principles to ensure delivery of the right part at the right time in the right quantity to the right place.
  • Master Supply Scheduling: Establishing and maintaining a valid Master Production Schedule for a family of products.
  • Materials KPI Management: Operating in relation to recent or historical outputs to determine next steps to drive improvement.
  • Values Differences: Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Licensing: This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Skills:

  • Coordination with internal or external supplier base and stakeholders across various functions.
  • Processing and monitoring orders against suppliers.
  • Working towards meeting the supply plan.
  • Monitoring and making adjustments to the planned and release procurement signals and expediting as necessary.
  • Metrics analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in Xelus, GOMS, and aftermarket material planning.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills to communicate at all levels.

Additional Information:

  • Ability to operate in the US time zone (Night Shift: 5 PM to 2 AM IST).
