We are looking for a talented Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Eaton Cummins Joint Venture (ECJV): Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies in MI, Galesburg.
Job Summary:
Lead efforts within one or more Supply Chain functions including materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management and order fulfillment. Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met from end to end in each of the supply chains.

- Inventory Management and Optimization : Use analytics and algorithms to determine the optimal level of inventory investment across the end-to-end supply chain within specific constraints (warehouse space, customer delivery, etc.); provide guidance and expertise on planning parameter refinement; develop inventory strategies to support Eaton Cummins' strategy and not just a business unit strategy.
- Material Planning : Use advanced tools (e.g., Advanced Planning Command Centre, Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboards, etc.) to make decisions related to parts availability, inventory optimization, and root cause analysis.
- Materials KPI Management : Operate in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine next steps to drive improvement; assess gaps in supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables; interpret KPIs to understand end-customer impact; strategically balance trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact on others.
- Supply Chain Knowledge : Influence, with the ability to concisely explain and/or elaborate on, the multi-disciplined and end-to-end integration of the flow of information, products, and services to achieve the desired result for the end customer within the first-fit or aftermarket business segments while balancing the tensions of inventory, cost, and delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain.
- Lead continuous improvement projects that align with ECJV Operating System and Functional Excellence direction, leveraging common processes, tools, and information systems.
- Support Corporate Supply Chain initiatives and lead the cross Business Unit planning processes to ensure intra-company alignment.
- Mitigate long-term supplier constraints by collaborating with functional stakeholders.
- Create common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships.
- Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets.
- Develop, understand, and improve Key Performance Indicators .
- Analyze operational trends and develop corrective action plans to address supply chain failures promptly, ensuring operational stability and escalating as appropriate.
- Prepare and manage an annual operating plan including expenses, resources, and capital.
- Manage, coach, and develop staff ; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Significant level of experience required. 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position will be an employee of the Eaton Cummins Joint Venture (ECJV): Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies.

ECJV Specific Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Continuity
- Ensure both short-term and long-term supply base risks are clearly identified and mitigated through daily standard work within Materials Manager and Capacity Strategy Specialist.
- Align with Advanced Sourcing Manager to address supply base risks which cannot be solved through existing supply base.
- Execute mitigation plans through internal and external resources, leveraging strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional influence skillset.
- Partner with Advanced Sourcing Manager as co-owner of Supply Chain Business Continuity plan
- Responsible for North American Raw and FG inventory forecasting, target-setting, and month by month management of actual inventory vs. AOP.
- Responsible for ensuring Aftermarket parts support, enabling uninterrupted supply of direct-to-customer parts and kits, as well as remanufacturing operations for current/prior products.
- Responsible for providing ongoing feedback and coaching (indirect management) for contracted Supply Chain, Purchasing, Materials, and Commodity Management resources.
New Product Launch/Execution:
- Lead SCM PM team through development and launch of new product development and supply chain resiliency projects.
- Ensure accuracy of BOM costs through development to launch.
- Team supports all prototype and MRO buying
- Partner with Advanced Sourcing Manager to create new product sourcing strategies.
RFQ Process and Award Letters
- Partner with Category Managers to identify suppliers and issue RFQs in support of supply chain strategies
- Review RFQs with Supply Chain team and Materials Manager to determine most suitable vendor considering all circumstances.
- Issue award letters including terms of accountability for performance
- Manage issuance of non-disclosure agreements as needed.
Capital, Tooling and Fixture Management
- Owns and agrees to terms and conditions of tooling ownership
- Issuance of all ECJV-paid tooling and fixturing
- Works through Supply Chain to monitor tooling and fixturing and all necessary CARs
- Responsible for all asset tagging/tracking of ECJV-owned tooling and fixturing
- Works through Supply Chain to monitor tooling status and needs to support business continuity and growth
- Responsible for capital planning and month-by-month management of capital spend vs. AOP
Global Vendor Utilization Strategy:
- Responsible for localization strategy in NAFTA to support USCMA requirements, cost reductions opportunities or strategic capacity needs
- Collaborates with China SCM to align on capacity allocation strategy for global vendors
- Supports China localization as required
