DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Financial Analyst to join our team specializing in Finance for our Finance Department in Accra, Ghana.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Enhance Decision-Making: By preparing detailed analyses and reports, you’ll provide department managers with critical insights to make informed decisions.
- Streamline Budget Processes: Your support in the annual budget process will help create accurate and realistic financial plans, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Improve Financial Forecasting: Developing expense and staffing forecasts will enable better planning and resource management within the organization.
- Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting: Your work in preparing and consolidating financial data will ensure that financial reports are accurate and reliable.
- Support Month-End Close: By assisting with the month-end close process, you’ll help maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
- Facilitate Compliance: Assisting with tax filings and annual external audits will ensure the organization meets all regulatory requirements and avoids penalties.
- Maintain Financial Integrity: Working closely with the accountant to ensure the general ledger’s accuracy will uphold the financial integrity of the organization.
- Drive Special Projects: Executing special projects will allow you to address specific financial challenges and contribute to the organization’s strategic goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong Business Partnering Skills: Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, develop partnerships, and influence decision-making to align performance with organizational goals. Use your business knowledge to guide positive results and mitigate risks.
- Expertise in Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights to stakeholders to drive business improvements and ensure the integrity of financial data by addressing variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Proficiency in Financial Reporting: Evaluate and summarize financial data to support business decisions. Prepare and present financial information in compliance with regulations and stakeholder expectations, partnering with stakeholders to drive financial performance.
- Knowledge of US GAAP: Understand and apply US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with standards and company policies. Communicate the implications of accounting requirements to stakeholders with varying levels of financial knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
- Minimal relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.
