What we are looking for:
We are looking for our next Conducting Officer for Investments in our Luxembourg office!
Your role is to lead on Investment Oversight of in-house and delegated Investment Management services and ensure the quality of services and delegations in the context of CSSF Circular 18/698 and other applicable regulations, drawing on inputs from local managers and teams.
You will be responsible for current existing IMSA products and expanded Private Markets offerings, including future EU based funds and segregated mandates.
Responsibilities include:
Main responsibility will be to handle Investment Oversight, both with in house investment teams and where delegated to other group entities, ensuring that oversight of the SICAVs, SIFs, AIFs etc. are to the required standard to fulfil regulatory obligations
Drafting, monitoring and reviewing on a periodic basis the investment management policies and procedures in place and ensuring that investment management controls and procedures are aligned with
Perform initial and ongoing due diligence on investment managers/advisors
Oversight of investment management teams and oversight of investment manager activities in case of delegation to ensure quality of service, considering:
- Investment process and resourcing
- Investment performance relative to investment objectives
- Portfolio risk management including market risk, liquidity risk, counterparty risk, credit risk, factor risk and other relevant metrics
- Relevant management of ESG risk or ESG objectives
- Adherence to investment policy and investment guidelines
- Investment quality and the proficiency of the individuals carrying out fund management tasksEnsure the Company has the technical infrastructure and human resources necessary to exercise its investment activity
Key point of contact with the CSSF for all investments activities related to IMSA/Real Estate
Work with peers across the wider Invesco group on strategic group projects
Provide subject matter expertise to Luxembourg based IRE funds, investment structures and companies on investment related matters
Lead and participate in projects and initiatives relevant to the improvement of Delegated Oversight if needed
What you will bring:
Experience interacting with and influencing Boards, C-suite and senior management
Significant asset management experience across multiple asset classes (equity, fixed income, alternatives, private equity, real estate)
Comfortable speaking directly to Portfolio Managers and other investment professionals
Strong regulated funds' knowledge (including UCITS and AIFMD)
Experienced in engaging with the CSSF and solid understanding of Circular 18/698 and oversight requirements
A robust industry network to keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry trends, and to remain current with standard processes and peer comparisons
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Excellent influencing, relationship building and people leadership skills
Demonstrate ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with key internal and external partners
High degree of emotional intelligence with an ability to bridge differences and build consensus towards a common goal or objective
Ability to make and take accountability for difficult decisions
French and English proficiency preferred
