Professional Services Consultant

Location: Bogota, Colombia

English mandatory /Spanish or Portuguese  Language 

This is a highly technical role, providing Architectural, Design and Implementation Consultancy services for Junipers Networks Solutions targeted at Service Provider and Enterprise customers. Consultant will be required to develop and maintain expertise on SP Network Architectures and solutions, e.g. Core, Edge, Access & Aggregation. Software Automation of these solutions is key.

This is a full-time post-sales position on-site and remote, working as part of a wider Juniper Professional Services team.

 Typical activities are around the following key areas;

  • Leading workshops to identify and understand customer requirements.
  • Providing guidance on Network Architectures
  • Developing and documenting High- and Low-Level Network Designs
  • Design Validation and Verification testing
  • Interoperability testing
  • Network Implementation planning
  • Trouble-shooting/fault finding
  • Where appropriate, tasks will be automated using available software platforms
  • Knowledge Transfer to in- and external customers

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 The Professional Services Consultant will be constantly expanding their realm of product experience.

  • The Professional Services Consultant will be expected to manage their own schedule and be able to work independently to satisfy multiple customer projects concurrently.
  • The main purpose of this job is to work with major Juniper Networks Service Provider and Enterprise customers to ensure the smooth design, planning, migration and integration of Juniper Networks Products into new and/or existing network.
  • A Juniper PS consultant provides guidance and is (technically) leading in order to provide high quality network design, service design, planning, engineering and implementation consulting services to the customer, to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and thereby increase potential business opportunities.

                                 

Skills and Experience:                                                      

•              Education – JNCIP,  BSEE, BSCS or equivalent – Preferred       

•              Industry Certifications – Juniper product certifications (JNCIP), or industry equivalency strongly desired

•              Minimum 5 years design, implementation, and operational experience in advanced, medium to large-scale infrastructures.

•              Well versed in common best practices for Service Provider and Enterprise environments.

•              Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of Juniper Networks, MX, PTX, QFX products.

•              Strong operating and troubleshooting knowledge across the following routing and switching technologies: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS (L2 & L3 VPN), Multicast protocols (IGMP, PIM), Switching technologies (VLAN/Trunking) , Wireless, SDWAN. 

•              Experience and deep knowledge in dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP)

•              Data center network design experience, IPfabric, EVPN, VXLAN, Apstra orchestrator is desired.

•              Service Provider network design experience, RSVP Traffic Engineer, Segment Routing is a plus.

•              Experience with SDWAN solution is a plus.

•              Experience with NAT (Source, Destination, Static, CGN, NAT-PT)

•              Desirable knowledge with scripting and/or relevant programming languages, for example, shell, Python, Ansible, Ruby, PERL, SLAX, Javascript, XML

•              Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

•              Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects as required.

•              Demonstrated experience as a collaborative team-player

•             Must be fluent in English, and Spanish language and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

•                International travel is a job requirement
