EHS Programs & Management System Responsibilities
Implements and Integrates Company EHS programs and develops facility specific procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory and Company policies.
May serve as Company EHS Program Owner, leading the effort to develop or maintain procedures, standards and training.
Develops and implements facility level EHS management systems to maintain compliance, environmental protection and safe operating conditions.
Manage the implementation and compliance of Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) standards across both facilities,
Maintain accurate chemical inventory on BHive and BVe3 platform, conduct risk assessments, and ensure the safe handling and storage of chemicals.
Provide targeted training on ZDHC standards to relevant teams, driving sustainability practices across operations.
Serve as the primary liaison for EHS-related audits at both Cikarang and FRU factories, including internal, external, and third-party inspections.
Maintain and standardize comprehensive documentation to ensure audit readiness for both sites.
Lead corrective and preventive actions to address audit findings, promoting continuous EHS improvement.
Training, Resource & Counsel
Serve as a resource to the site manager in regards to EHS matters and act as daily point of contact for all EHS issues. Assists line and staff management in understanding EHS regulations and standards, including guidance on handling EHS compliance, inspections, and citations.
Organize and control the EHS functions of the site(s) to ensure that an effective accident prevention program is maintained, that appropriate measures area taken to comply with Corporate, EHS and related safety and environmental policies agencies and directives. Ensure that the company stays in compliance with company & client policies and procedures as well as federal and state laws.
Provides advice and counsel to product and process engineers and leads to incorporate environmental health and safety principles and concepts to prevent workplace, operational hazards and environmental impacts.
Implements environmental, health and safety education and training to support regulatory and business requirements.
Function as the contractor-plant representative to assure compliance of all PSM-related requirements from contractors.
Act as a resource and mentor to facility safety teams. Investigate all releases, injuries and near-misses.
The position may also be responsible for treating minor injuries, managing workmen's comp. cases, EHS training, recordkeeping, performing accident investigations, etc.
Compliance & Safety Programs
Ensure full compliance with all local and international EHS and maintenance regulations at both factory locations.
Develop and maintain standardized reports and dashboards to provide visibility of EHS and maintenance performance across Cikarang and FRU.
Maintenance
Set-Up, Trouble Shooting and Preventative Maintenance
Provide support to the production team to produce superior quality materials that meet/exceed client needs. This role supports the needs of manufacturing and facilities to ensure both are in top working order.
Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble.
Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
Assures correct positioning of production machines.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
Properly inspect and maintain shop equipment, in accordance with OSHA regulation.
Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment. Prepares new machines and production equipment for operation.
Follows a strict preventive maintenance schedule to lessen exposure to downtime related repairs and maintenance.
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuring instruments.
Electrical & Electromechanical Focus
Perform Mechanical duties above plus:
Performs a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy. Uses instruments to test circuits and replaces or installs new power, light, electronic and control circuits.
Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.–
Repairs complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems and alarms.
Performs complex wiring assignments.
Installs Measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit.
Works from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
Improvises acceptable fixes to get equipment running promptly.
Assists engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective action.
Understands and implements those ISO 9000 procedures that relate to the role and responsibilities of position.
May perform repairs and maintenance related activities in plant or office facilities.
May repair, assist in repairing or oversee contracted personnel on heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical, Engineering or related field preferred.
8+ years of EHS experience with progressive work assignments and 5 to 6 years experiences as Engineering Manager in a manufacturing site (preferably printing or paper packaging manufacturing)
Advanced professional EHS certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, QEP, CEA, REM etc.) desired.
Strong leadership, managerial, training, analytical skill, experienced and able to use problem solving tools
Industrial safety and occupational EHS within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on Environmental leadership preferred.
Detailed, structural, and organized personality. Ability to work based on plan, timeline and objective
Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures and programs.
Strong knowledge of ZDHC standards, chemical management systems (BHive & BVE3), and TPM methodologies.
Expertise in developing and managing ERT programs and EHS training initiatives
Experiences in developing, implementing, evaluating and improving TPM, CAPEX and OPEX
