Job Summary

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating machines and production equipment in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner. This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with direct guidance, contributing to the production of high-quality components using both manual and automated systems, including welding cells and robotic technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

  • Immediately stop work and report any major injury hazards.
  • Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards.
  • Comply with all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Promote a culture of safety and interdependence.
  • Correct hazards within your control and capabilities.
  • Minimize environmental impact through responsible work practices.
  • Participate in HSE training and initiatives.

Quality

  • Follow all standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.
  • Raise issues to minimize cost and quality risks.
  • Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials.
  • Ensure adherence to product specifications and standards.

Delivery

  • Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products.
  • Meet production goals and maintain required cycle times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine housekeeping and machine care.
  • Perform planned operator maintenance tasks.
  • Support equipment maintenance and repair efforts with peers and skilled trades.

Teamwork

  • Communicate effectively with team members and support staff.
  • Complete required training and personal development activities.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and process efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior welding experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with welding cells and robotic systems.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
