Position Summary:

The US Banks team seek an Associate to join the First Line Business Risk team. The candidate will support administration of the first line business risk department and report to the AVP of Affiliate Risk Management. The 1LOD Bank Risk team supports the Banks’ BUs by providing guidance across NFR stipes including 1LOG Risk Governance, Ops Risk, (including Third Party and Affiliate Management) Regulatory Affairs and Audit support, Model and Data Risk.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution and governance of the Affiliate Risk Oversight Framework, including the creation and implementation of new governance standards.

  • Design, build, and maintain automated processes for risk management using Excel VBA, Python, and other automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and scorecards for US Bank affiliates using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel, enabling real-time data visualization and actionable insights.

  • Execute framework adherence checks and automate reporting processes as per requirements.

  • Collaborate with Technology affiliates to ensure compliance with Affiliate oversight standards, leveraging automation for data collection and analysis.

  • Facilitate key Affiliate stakeholder touchpoints and automate meeting scheduling and follow-ups.

  • Assist with maintenance of RCSA Technology risks and controls, including automated monitoring and reporting.

  • Support broader 1LOD efforts by compiling information for IA, regulatory requests (audits/exams), and automating data extraction and reporting.

  • Create and execute presentations and reports using Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel automation and PowerPoint skills to drive meaningful discussion and provide transparency.

Required Qualifications & Skills: :

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in financial services, preferably in risk management, finance, compliance, or audit.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics

  • Proven experience in data automation using Excel VBA, Python, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools to streamline workflows and reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL for creating complex queries, extracting, and analyzing large datasets.

  • Technical expertise in database design and automation of data processes, complemented by advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills for automation and data visualization.

  • Project management and technical reporting skills, with experience in automating project tracking and reporting.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, managing multiple priorities efficiently.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement through automation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of tailoring messaging and facilitating meetings across departments and levels.

  • Willingness to learn and grow beyond existing scope of work, with a proactive approach to adopting new automation and visualization technologies.
