DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Associate – Level II supports the Record to Report (RTR) function by performing account reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and financial data analysis. This role supports the month-end close process and ensures accurate financial reporting while working under moderate supervision. The position involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and adherence to financial controls and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile, consolidate, and perform basic analysis of accounting and finance information.
  • Prepare basic journal entries in line with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Perform monthly and annual account reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
  • Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of tables, charts, and supporting exhibits for financial reports.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting requests as required by stakeholders.
  • Participate as a team member on more complex accounting projects and independently manage less complex accounting activities.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data by following internal control frameworks and compliance requirements.

  • Financial Regulations Acumen: Working knowledge of applicable accounting and financial regulations to ensure compliant transaction recording.

Experience

  • Requires some relevant work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in accounting or finance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience, as permitted by applicable regulations.
