We’re seeking someone to join our team as Vice President for Real Estate Collateral Valuation role.
In the Firm Risk Management division, we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies, develop tools to analyse and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives.

What you’ll do in the role:
Assist in preparing internal reporting known as collateral monitoring and appraisal reports for Commercial Real Estate assets located throughout the United States, including office, retail, multifamily, and logistics. These reports to be prepared according to Global Valuation Standards.
Independently review US Residential Mortgage underwriting files for credit quality, income assessment, collateral valuation, and adherence to bank’s mortgage underwriting standards and credit policies (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, FHA/VA, jumbo portfolio lending, Non-QM, ARM programs).
Oversee periodic quality control (QC) reviews, pre-fund and post-closing audits, and highlight exceptions requiring escalation. Ensure compliance with key US mortgage regulations: TRID, ATR/QM, HMDA, FHA/VA, ECOA, Fair Lending, UDAAP
Validate collateral quality by analyzing appraisal methodology, comparable selection, adjustments, LTV/CLTV, and property risks.
Providing support for regulatory, audits and compliance testing.
Perform advanced market research, reviewing reports published by industry leaders.
Analyze financial statements for historical trends, and compare those to market trends.
Lead team-level quality assurance testing to verify appraisal reviews are consistent with credit policies and procedures. Escalate the errors/concerns for corrective actions.

Review of junior team member’s work, provide required training to the team and contribute on global projects/stretch assignments.

Manage escalations, and show a strong inclination towards problem solving and innovation
Contribute to production and recognize proper delegation, setting of department goals, work on synergies across different teams, projects to increase production and create efficient workflows and processes
What you’ll bring to the role:
Detail oriented, with exceptional analytical skills
Knowledge of various asset classes, financial statements, and valuation methods.
Well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple deliverables
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess strong problem identification and solution techniques
Good collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment
Personnel management/coaching
12-15 years’ work experience in financial services industry which includes at least 10 years’ experience in real estate valuation
CA or MBA with knowledge of financials products. CFA or FRM cleared candidate is an added advantage
MAI – AI-GRS – RICS certifications preferred not mandatory
Proficient with Microsoft Office package, especially advanced Excel, and PowerPoint
