Summary :

The Warehouse Manager will oversee the management of a department within the South Africa Warehouse organization to ensure our clients receive the highest possible service. They will be responsible for ensuring service levels and business targets are achieved whilst keeping safety and quality at the heart of the operation. You will drive the EMEA Warehouse strategy and coach and develop the team to be high performing and deliver results.

What you will do :

  • Lead a diverse team of direct reports.

  • Support the Operations Manager in achieving business targets and objectives

  • Collaborate with neighboring functions to exceed the customers’ expectations.

  • Analyse performance and identify continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders at local and regional level.

  • Develop talent and create an environment where employees can flourish.

  • Ensure team members are trained and competent in all activities undertaken.

  • Drive engagement to align with the company’s culture.

  • Promote a safe working environment and champion quality.

  • Be an expert in departmental process.

  • Any other reasonable request in line with the operational needs of the business.

What you need :

  • Equivalent of University Degree or equivalent desirable experience.

  • 8 + years of experience in Warehouse / Logistics Operations with leading a diverse team in a warehouse environment

  • Great communication skills (Professional Working Proficiency in English )

  • LEAN Six Sigma Green or Black belt qualification is an advantage.

  • Experience of working within a team.

  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.

  • Can demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills

  • General knowledge of Quality management systems (QMS) tools

  • Planning/Organization – Understands what is needed to accomplish project objectives and establish appropriate goals and priority. Demonstrate clear evidence of objective measurement of their achievements.

  • Initiative - a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.

  • Strong internal drive and motivation to make a difference and add value to an organization.

  • Attention to Detail - being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

  • Dependability - being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
