    Position Overview

    Autodesk’s Identity Access and Management team seeks a talented and highly motivated individual who loves to find and develop efficient, scalable, and thoughtful solutions to various technical and product challenges. As a team member responsible for building foundational services, you will have the opportunity to lead the team that builds Autodesk’s Identity Access Management Platform. The service is one of the key business enablers serving millions of Autodesk customers daily. It is leveraged by 150+ Autodesk desktop, mobile, web applications, and cloud services, and a growing third-party developer ecosystem for managing user authentication, authorization, profile, and entitlements. You will be working on cutting-edge AWS technologies as you build the next generation of Autodesk’s Identity Platform. You will work in a global organization and collaborate with local and remote colleagues from various disciplines like business, engineering, operations, support, etc.

    Responsibilities

    • Work effectively as a member of the self-organized agile team that builds, owns, and runs the cloud service

    • Contribute to all aspects of cloud service development, including front-end, back-end, DevOps, and quality assurance

    • Assist in the operation of the service, including monitoring, alerting, metrics, logging, and troubleshooting

    • Excellent troubleshooting skills, able to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system components

    • Work closely with senior engineers, architects, and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into elegant implementations

    • Use the current system behaviour to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the scalability, reliability, usability, and security of the system

    • Advocate for the service within the organization and help product teams integrate the service

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science

    • 5-8 years of experience as a software developer

    • Strong understanding of computer programming principles

    • Expertise in one or more programming languages (C# and Java)

    • Expertise in developing web applications using frameworks such as .Net

    • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS

    • Extensive experience with web services, including REST APIs

    • Solid understanding of software design and architectural patterns and cloud design paradigms

    • Strong experience with relational and non-relational data stores

    • Experience in building high-performance, high-availability services at internet scale

    • Commitment to quality, including security and performance

    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

    • Deep understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds, and experience with ES6/ES7 features

    • Experience with TypeScript and its benefits in building large-scale applications is highly desirable
