Each internship is a full-time, paid position with salaries comparable to other software development companies.

Esri interns contribute to real projects and are mentored by team members along the way. Some of our technically-oriented interns have worked on a wide range of exciting projects such as:

• Research state of the art methods or approaches that can be used to improve the software or solve a new problem
• Help design, test, and document new functionality in ArcGIS products
• Develop use cases that show the value of spatial analysis in solving important problems that we face as a society
• Write blog posts or learn lessons that explain how to use ArcGIS to accomplish a well-defined goal
• Be part of building the world's leading GIS software from the ground up

• Basic knowledge of GIS and remote sensing
• Excellent test engineering and problem-solving skills
• Strong development skills using Java, C#, or Python
• Desire and ability to learn new skills and contribute to producing quality commercial software
