Job Details
We are looking for:
An ambitious and detail-oriented Payroll/HR student to join Payroll Nordics for a six-month internship. This internship offers a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience where you will develop from an operational payroll role into a more business-facing Payroll Business Partner perspective.
During the internship, you will gain practical exposure to the full payroll function, including payroll administration, payroll and HR processes, system support, and advisory work. The role is designed in line with Yrkeshögskola (YH) education requirements and prepares you for independent professional work within payroll. Please submit in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Payroll Intern, you will be part of the payroll team and gradually take on increasing responsibility within the payroll function.
- Gain hands-on experience from beginning to end payroll process
- Support and participate in payroll routines, payroll runs, checks, and reconciliations with the Finance department.
- Work with payroll and personnel administration in accordance with labour laws and regulations for payroll related work.
- Support internal stakeholders with payroll-related questions in a professional manner
- Gain insight into payroll system administration related to payroll and HR
- Identify and share ideas for improvement and contribute with structured proposals related to quality, efficiency, and system support
Preferred Qualifications:
You are currently enrolled in a Yrkeshögskola (YH) education within Payroll, Payroll Consulting, HR, or Payroll Business Partner. You are completing (or willing to independently refresh through a self-study “crash course”) foundational theoretical knowledge in:
- Payroll administration and payroll processes
- Labor law and collective agreements
- Taxes, social security contributions, and absence management
- You are looking to gain practical experience as part of your education and aim to develop toward an independent payroll role
- Interest in payroll processes, digital systems, and continuous improvement is highly valued
