We're seeking someone to join our team as our India Travel Manager, where you will be the strategic leader of Morgan Stanley's travel program in India, overseeing all aspects of travel and expense management-including air, hotel, ground transportation, corporate card, and agency providers. In addition, you will manage the Staff Transportation Commutation Program, ensuring cost efficiency, operational excellence, and uncompromising safety standards. In this capacity, you will lead a team of ground transportation professionals to deliver seamless service and align strategies with organizational objectives.
In the Corporate Services division, we empower our businesses by creating collaborative workplace solutions and commercial services that enhance the employee and client experience, while optimizing the value of our sourcing and third-party lifecycle to enable the Firm to do-and-win business. This is a Vice President level position within the Travel and Meetings Management, which specializes in the Firm’s travel and meetings management activities. We may work with outside travel-related companies and agents, such as airlines, hotels, travel agents, and car rental agencies.

What you'll do in the role:
Provide strategic and visionary leadership for the India Travel & Expense program, ensuring seamless, high-quality service delivery to the Firm
Lead and inspire a team of FTEs and FTCs across India, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
Champion value creation, operational efficiency, governance, and control, elevating the credibility and influence of the Travel and Expense function within the organization
Oversee vendor management, including negotiations, contract administration, and performance analytics, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are consistently metBuild strong partnerships with business units, promoting cost-effective travel solutions and embedding industry best practices
Deliver actionable insights and robust management reporting to inform business decisions and optimize travel spend
Benchmark and implement leading practices to maintain a world-class travel program aligned with global standards
Ensure exceptional support for VIP travelers and provide rapid, effective responses to operational challenges
Lead performance reviews with preferred partners and actively contribute to global projects and strategic initiatives
Grow and maintain expertise in expense operations, providing guidance and support to local team members and handling senior-level escalations as needed, in collaboration with Expense Leads
What you'll bring to the role:
Over 10 years of experience in travel program management, with a proven track record of leadership in corporate travel or travel management roles
Familiarity with expense operations, expense report auditing, understanding expense policies/industry standards, and navigating expense tools is a plus
Expertise in managing senior-level business relationships and navigating complex vendor partnerships
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, SAP Concur, and leading travel management systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership capabilities
Demonstrated success in driving change, leading teams, and championing diversity and inclusion initiatives
In-depth knowledge of travel technology, policy development, and emerging industry trends
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively across time zones
Innovative and strategic thinker with a passion for continuous improvement
