Product Manager, Digital Lending Platforms - Vice President
Wealth Management Platforms

We are hiring a talented product manager to help us build an industry-leading, highly automated lending platform to have a direct impact on Morgan Stanley U.S. Banks' growth strategy. This is a highly collaborative role, where you will work closely with our team of digital product managers and partner with designers, engineers, operations, credit, finance, and business stakeholders on transforming workflows and systems that enable innovative financial product offerings.

Department Overview
In the Wealth Management division, we help people, businesses and institutions build, preserve, and manage wealth so they can pursue their financial goals

Wealth Management (WM) Platforms manages industry-leading platforms, across all WM channels and client segments, to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies for Advisors, Clients, and Institutions. WM Platforms consists of nine sub-teams including: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow Solutions, Digital Trading & Investing, UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution. Business Control & Support, and the Chief Operating Office.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Work in a fun, fast paced environment developing technology for our clients and internal staff

  • Develop a deep understanding of existing workflows through user research, data analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency

  • Partner with business and engineering stakeholders to design user interfaces and systems using proven and emerging software design patterns, including applied AI to for data extraction and workflow automation

  • Present findings and project updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders

  • Lead Agile product management teams, collaborating with design, research, technology, legal and compliance team to drive decision making

  • Partner with engineering and DevOps to diagnose and resolve any technical issues or system errors

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that drive complex projects to completion

Experience Required:

  • 9.5 Years of Applicable experience across work and higher education

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in technology product management, or related roles

  • Working knowledge of financial lending products

  • Experience with software business analysis

  • BA/BS required


Skills Required:

  • Excellent communicator with solid written and verbal presentation skills

  • Highly developed sense of ownership and accountability for work

  • Strong attention to detail in both technical and non-technical capacity

  • An understanding of web technologies, the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies

  • Excellent relationship building capabilities with partners both internal and external to the organization

  • Strategic problem solver able to define and evaluate alternatives, and break high-level goals into specific project tasks

  • Independent initiative and comfort working in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to adapt to changing and evolving business needs

  • Ability to measure a given business problem to both quantify the issue and the benefits from the technology solution; SQL skills are a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,00 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term

incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
