What you will do
- Manage and process payroll for a large employee population, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with laws and company policies.
- Execute and oversee weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing, including data validation, audits, error correction, and payroll distribution.
- Review, analyze, and reconcile payroll data related to taxes, garnishments, and multi-state regulatory requirements.
- Research and apply payroll tax laws and withholding regulations to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance.
- Partner with HR and Finance teams on payroll preparation, audits, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy.
- Independently resolve complex or escalated payroll inquiries and support employees and managers through established service channels.
- Support payroll-related projects, integrations (including mergers and acquisitions), and international assignment payroll activities.
- Prepare and support payroll reporting, audits (including SOX), year-end activities, and statutory filings such as W-2 and related documents.
What you need
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- 2 years of work experience with Finance and Accounting in large multinational companies with complex payroll structures.
- Experience managing payroll taxes, including social security and statutory contributions, such as INFONAVIT (SUA).
- Conversational English.
- Knowledge of SAP and TRESS systems.
Desired:
- Previous experience in business-facing HR, HR Centers of Excellence (COE), HR Operations, or a related role.
