Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.
Primary Responsibilities
The role is based out of Mumbai and requires working with the AsiaTransaction Management Group.
TMG team is responsible for the Structured products issuance program creation & updates, documentation of new issuances, coordinating trade settlements, listing & clearing with external parties, Management information & metrics reporting.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our team as a Derivatives Specialist. This role involves managing structured products, coordinating across trade cycles, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
Draft and process Pricing Supplements and Term Sheets for structured products
Prepare documentation for corporate actions and similar events
Coordinate with cross-functional teams throughout the trade lifecycle to ensure smooth processing
Perform enrichment and allocation of trades for Structured Notes, Warrants, Certificates, and Swaps
Generate and maintain reports related to trading activities
Manage expense processes, including invoice handling and approvals
Process Index License agreements and liaise with vendors for compliance
Identify and implement automation opportunities using advanced tools (Excel, VBA, Python, workflow platforms) to optimize efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Skills required (essential)
MBA / CA with 4+ years of exposure to the derivatives market.
Lawyers with drafting experience in the Structured notes will be considered.
In-depth understanding of equity or other asset-linked structured notes, warrants, certificates, trade lifecycles, and product mechanics will be preferred.
Candidates should have excellent attention to detail.
Candidates must have worked in a fast-paced environment and be able to work to tight deadlines.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in English is a must.
Candidates must be organised, pro-active and be able to multi-task.
Proficiency in Excel will be preferred.
