DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Drive Product Reliability through Failure Analysis: Perform fracture analysis on failed parts to identify root causes and recommend improvements in design or processes.
- Ensure Metallurgical Quality and Compliance: Conduct PPAP approvals and metallurgical analyses to ensure materials meet required specifications and standards.
- Standardize and Elevate Lab Practices: Develop and implement best practices in the lab to improve testing efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong Technical Foundation: Solid knowledge of materials science, fracture mechanics, heat treatment processes, and metallurgical analysis techniques to perform diagnostics and propose improvements.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to conduct root cause analysis, interpret test results, and resolve complex metallurgical and manufacturing issues effectively.
- Personal strengths: good learner, trustworthy, responsible, team working, self-motivated, and supportive.
- In addition, knowledge and/or experience in casting, welding, forging, coatings, paints, and polymers is also valued.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- College, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Materials engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
- 5 years minimum of experience in metallurgical industry.
- Good english (written and spoken)
