DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a certified Parts technician to join our Distribution business in Calgary, AB.
In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Carry out customer parts counter duties including receiving parts calls, greeting and assisting walk-in customers, completing all paperwork and processing it accordingly, handling cash, check, and credit card transactions.
- Maintain a favorable relationship with internal and external customers by addressing their needs and issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.
- Personally lead or guide other Parts Personnel in sourcing and locating complex parts requests or finding alternatives.
- Utilize various systems, catalogs, other resources, and collaborates with technicians to identify and procure the parts in the most cost and time efficient manner
- Perform other duties that may include managing stock levels, shipping and receiving parts, warehouse activities, inventory management related tasks, core processing, or other parts-related duties as assigned by management.
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, licenses or certifications:
- Journeyperson red seal parts technician certification is required for this role.
- Forklift certification is an asset for this role.
- Valid local driver’s license is necessary for this role.
Experience:
- Requires significant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
To be considered for this role you must:
- Be proficient with Microsoft applications, generating reports, and have advanced level computer skills.
- Be physically fit in order to be able to lift charges on occasion (50 lbs).
- Have exceptional customer service skills.
- Be able to work in a team and demonstrate autonomy at the same time.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and be recognized as proactive.
