We are seeking someone to join our Institutional Securities Tech team as a Lead Software Engineer position at Vice President Level, who will be involved in requirements analysis, leading infrastructure squad to quickly deliver reporting solutions along with on-going renovation of reporting platform applications, building new or leverage existing frameworks for validation of data, user & job support. We expect the candidate to have an interest in the financial business. This is a Lead Software Engineer position at Vice President Level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:
Working with business users to understand requirements, analyze them in detail and write clear specs and convert them into technical design
Communicate effectively with business teams to ensure alignment of technical deliverables with strategic objectives.
Drive ongoing modernization and renovation of client reporting platform applications.
Build new frameworks or leverage existing ones for data validation and quality assurance.
Lead efforts to enhance existing solutions to meet new requirements
Addressing ad-hoc requests by leveraging existing tools and infrastructure or with out-of-the-box ideas
Identify opportunities for optimization and scalability within the platform.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply best practices to enhance system capabilities.
Liaise with RPE to enhance L1/L3 production support functions
What you’ll bring to the role:
8 + years’ experience in architecting new web components/ applications and development of reporting systems
Programming Languages : Java, Springboot, RestAPI (Mandatory)
Scripting (Shell (Mandatory), Perl (Optional))
Python (Optional)
JavaScript, React, Angular (Optional)
CI/CD (at least one mandatory)
Knowledge in one or all of these:
Relational Databases
Sybase/DB2 (Mandatory)
Snowflake (Mandatory)/ Cloud experience (at least one mandatory)
PL/SQL and Stored Procedures (Mandatory)
Analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills
Team player; highly motivated; excellent communication skills
Experiencing in leading a squad of 6-7 technical members
At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Knowledge in reporting applications development
