We're seeking someone to join our Liquidity Planning and Coverage (LP&C) team as an Associate in Treasury to support the management of the Firm's legal entities from a liquidity perspective.


In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is an Associate level position within our Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process.

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area, tools and/or products
- Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
- Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
- Set and analyze Morgan Stanley's liquidity requirements driven by internal and regulatory metrics including the Internal Liquidity Stress Test (ILST), Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and the Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR)
- Support regulatory requests from the FRB, OCC and other regional regulators including data analysis, liaising with other groups and presentation of findings
- Work with Liquidity Controllers on attributing the liquidity reserve to each Business Unit
- Conduct the forecasting of Morgan Stanley's liquidity resources and requirements under various scenarios, liaising with Corporate Treasury Forecasting and Planning team, Firm Resources & Strategy (FRS), Bank Chief Investment Office (CIO) and other Finance stakeholders
- Monitor Morgan Stanley's liquidity risk and keep various management committees such as Asset Liability Committees (ALCOs), and the Liquidity Risk Compliance Committee (LRCC) informed on the approach taken to manage liquidity risk
- Evaluate movements in the Firm's liquidity resources and requirements and prepare presentations for senior management and committees
- Participate in the assessment of New Product Approval (NPA)
- Ensure that the liquidity stress test models and their corresponding documentation are kept up-to-date through regular recalibrations, ongoing performance monitoring and back testing

What you'll bring to the role:
- Working knowledge of Finance functional area, industry and competitive environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt to various audiences
- Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with teams across both local offices and globally
- Well-developed analytical capabilities, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy level environment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
