In your internship at a globally leading medical technology company, you’ll be right in the middle of the action: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our R&D team focusing on software development for advanced navigation in orthopaedic surgery. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a cutting-edge solution for computer-assisted surgery that can have a significant impact on patient outcomes.

Take an active, hands-on role in the development of SW features and solutions that directly impact patient outcomes.
Engage in complex problem-solving tasks, systematically identify challenges, and brainstorm innovative solutions.
Design, develop, and implement software components using C++ and Qt on a Linux platform.
Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, biomedical specialists, and domain experts.
Evaluate the performance of developed algorithms using appropriate metrics.
Document and present findings, designs, and results.
That makes you stand out:
You are currently enrolled in a master's program in computer science, biomedical engineering or a related field.
You have experience in object-oriented programming (C++/Java, etc.) and a strong interest in developing high-performance software.
You have a background in computer vision, image processing and/or machine learning.
You demonstrate a strong interest in medical technology and healthcare software.
Familiarity with medical imaging (CT, MRI) and segmentation techniques is a plus.
You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
You have good communication and documentation skills in English.
Duration of your internship: 6 months (full-time)
Type of internship: We offer voluntary internships alongside your studies, compulsory internships/practical semesters, and a combination of both
