The Analyst – Benefits Operations & Financial Analytics plays a critical role in the Consumer Propositions team by driving data-driven insights and operational excellence across our cardholder benefit programs. This role’s primary purpose is to drive the end-to-end cost and performance reporting for all benefit categories – including lounge, concierge, insurance, dining, and any new benefits. The role will also support lounge benefit vendor management (ensuring high service standards and implementing improvements). By partnering closely with Finance and other cross-functional teams, this analyst will ensure that our benefits are delivered efficiently, measured rigorously, and aligned with Visa’s consumer value proposition (CVP) objectives and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Benefit Invoicing & Reconciliation: Support cost and billing across regional consumer benefits. Validate and reconcile vendor invoices and maintain clear records of benefit costs. Work closely with Finance to integrate benefit costs into budgeting and P&L processes, supporting cost-to-value alignment analyses for each benefit category.
- Data Reporting & Performance Analytics: Develop and maintain robust reporting dashboards and monthly/quarterly performance reports that track key metrics for each benefit (usage rates, customer satisfaction, costs, and ROI). Analyze large datasets to identify trends, variances, and insights, ensuring data is organized logically and accurately for decision-making. Proactively communicate findings and business implications to leadership, enabling informed adjustments to benefit strategy and design.
- Lounge Benefit Vendor Management: Oversee the day-to-day vendor relationship for lounge benefits, monitoring service delivery and addressing any operational issues or required adjustments to maintain the highest operational and service standards in line with Visa’s brand promise. Implement enhancements to the lounge program based on consumer feedback and performance data to continuously improve the cardholder experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Sourcing, Product, Operations, and Technology) to align on benefit performance goals, data requirements, and process improvements. Assist in establishing KPIs and measurement frameworks to track benefit performance and value delivery as part of the overall CVP performance tracking strategy. Participate in ongoing benefit review cycles to recommend data-driven enhancements or efficiency opportunities in how benefits are delivered and measured.
- Process Improvement & Governance: Identify and implement opportunities to improve benefit-related financial processes and tools. This includes optimizing financial models, templates, and billing systems for greater efficiency and accuracy, and driving standardization in reporting methods across different benefit programs. Ensure strong governance by maintaining updated process documentation and compliance with audit standards for benefit operations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, operations, or related roles, preferably within a multinational or financial services context.
Financial & Analytical Skills:
- Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and conduct well-structured analyses to solve complex business problems.
- Strong financial acumen with familiarity in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L concepts. ability to link operational metrics to financial outcomes.
- Experience with financial systems or tools (e.g., advanced Excel, knowledge of TM1, Hyperion or similar is a plus)
Attention to Detail:
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, ensuring accuracy and quality in financial reports, billing reconciliations, and data analyses.
- Able to manage multiple streams of work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for report presentation).
- Comfortable with data visualization and BI tools to create dashboards and reports.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Product, Account Management, Operations).
Problem Solving & Initiative:
- Proven ability to identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements or automation in reporting and operations.
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership, suggest solutions, and implement changes that enhance efficiency and value.
