Senior Java Full Stack Architect_Director_Software Engineering

Profile Description                                                                                                   

We’re seeking someone to join our Enterprise Technology team as a Senior Java Full Stack Architect , in Workforce Technology & Services with deep experience in building scalable, resilient, and high-performance applications using modern Java technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate hands-on technical leadership, expertise in microservices architecture, strong knowledge of DevOps practices and proficiency in integrating modern frontend and backend systems. Experience with Generative AI (GenAI) tools and frameworks will be an added advantage.

This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:                                                                                      

• Lead end-to-end architectural solutions for enterprise-grade applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain high quality Java-based applications using modern frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
• Define and drive architecture for microservices, distributed systems, event-driven patterns and cloud-native workloads.
• Provide strategic leadership in designing and implementing robust architectures for microservices, distributed systems, event-driven solutions, ensuring scalability, resilience and alignment with enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Work with RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams and promote clean coding practices.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Deploy and manage applications on Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
• Ensure security, performance, and compliance in all development practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Leverage GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI, LangChain) for code generation, documentation and productivity improvements.                                                               

What you’ll bring to the role:                                                                                      

• At least 6+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
• Hands on core Java/J2EE development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java 11+, functional programming, streams, concurrency.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Batch, Sprin Cloud and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber.
• Strong problem-solving skills, debugging expertise and system design abilities.
• Good to have exposure to GenAI concepts, LLM integrations, and AI-driven development tool.
• Good to have exp. in UI/Frontend skills.
