Meet The Speakers

Carly Robinson
Carly Robinson
Senior Software Engineer
Carly Robinson is a SF-bay area based full-stack software engineer with a broad range of experience. Before changing careers to ship code, Carly worked as a professional musical theater actress in the Chicago area and helped run Freedom For All, a NYC-based non-profit dedicated to ending modern slavery as assistant to Katie Ford, former CEO of Ford Models.

Over her six year tenure at Slack, Carly spent 4 years as a backend engineer, one year on security, and is currently learning frontend as an apprentice to the Scouts, a special team dedicated to driving innovation within the existing Slack experience through prototyping of bold new product features and cutting-edge technologies.

Jen Hammond
Jen Hammond
Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Jen Hammond is a Portland-based software engineer who loves to work on admin-focused features to make their lives easier and more pleasant. She currently works at Slack on the Identity and Security team.

She recently took a step back from engineering management and is enjoying the change of pace as an individual contributor.

I am an energetic technical leader with experience in Full Stack App Development, Enterprise Architecture, Integrations, Collaboration, Automation Frameworks, and Low Code Platforms.

Today, I lead the "Slack on Slack" innovation program where I am responsible for developing the roadmap for its most impactful bots and ensuring it meets all the business needs.

Erin Sardo
Erin Sardo
Senior Staff Software Engineer, Frontend

Erin Sardo is a SF-Bay area based software engineer who loves working cross-functionally on end-user experiences. Currently, she is focused on improving the way all Slack users can easily automate their work. Before starting at Slack last July, Erin worked at Google for 10y where she led many of the cross-product efforts in Gmail, Chat, Docs, and Slides.

She has managed previously, but is currently enjoying being an individual contributor.
