Meet The Speakers

Jacob Meacham
Jacob Meacham
VP of Engineering, ClassPass

Jacob is an engineering leader who has broad experience across multiple industries and on a range of technologies.

At Doppler Labs, Jacob helped ship the innovative and award-winning Here Active Listening and Here One products. He developed state-of-the-art machine learning models for audio scene classification and grew to lead the entire engineering organization - ultimately responsible for 40+ mechanical, electrical, firmware, mobile, audio/DSP, cloud, and ML engineers.

At Palantir Technologies, Jacob led multiple cross-functional teams to build internal tools, front-end components and highly available, distributed backend systems. He led a large team of engineers to build the first version of the core data pipeline infrastructure that is mission-critical for many of Palantir's customers. It is being leveraged to discover banking fraud, detect insider/unauthorized trading, fight international terrorism, and to quickly and repeatably generate insights on a broad spectrum of commercial verticals.

As a game developer, he has 8 shipped console game titles to his name, and has worked on games for major publishers as well as for the U.S. military.

Jennifer Luna
Jennifer Luna
Senior Backend Engineer, ClassPass

Jennifer is passionate about AI and data science for sustainability in food systems. She is pursuing learning opportunities for leveraging technology to improve our ecosystem and provide a better future for future generations.

At Mindbody, Jennifer combines her passion for fitness & Software Engineering working as a remote backend developer with Java/Kotlin/Intellij, python/vscode, postgres and AWS. She works on the consumer team handling various customer-facing features.

Lamont James
Lamont James
Engineering Manager, ClassPass

A graduate of Harvard University, Lamont began his career at Microsoft as a Software Developer II. From there, he enjoyed stops at Google and Verst as a Software Engineer.

In 2018, Lamont joined ClassPass, where he currently serves as Software Engineering Manager.

Neil Kimmett
Neil Kimmett
Director of Engineering, ClassPass

Neil is an accomplished public speaker and educator who originally hails from the UK. He is well-versed in Swift, Objective-C, and the iOS SDK; Ruby on Rails; React Native and JS; Python & Django; Sketch; HTML/CSS.

Neil has been with ClassPass for four years and most recently assumed the role of Director of Engineering.

Po Linn Chia
Po Linn Chia
Staff Engineer, ClassPass

Po Linn is a developer who also likes to write! She currently is most interested in web architecture, especially performance tuning and CI/CD integration.

Po Linn joined ClassPass about a year ago, and just started her new role as Staff Engineer in May.
