Ania Halliop
Senior Director, Software Engineering

Ania is a Senior Director of Engineering at GitHub with more than 20 years of software development and leadership experience in such companies as Uber, FreshBooks, and Siemens. At GitHub she leads engineering teams focused on core workflow experiences for developers, supporting millions of customers on a daily basis.

Ania enjoys developing new technical leaders, building cross-functional collaboration, and scaling up high performing technical organizations with a strong culture of diversity, inclusivity and belonging. With experience in such areas as product development, data engineering, and devops, Ania is always excited about enabling technology and scaling software to solve customer problems.

For many years, Ania has been involved in providing opportunities and mentorship to new speakers with the goal of encouraging more women and other underrepresented groups to speak at technical events and conferences.

Director, Talent Acquisition

Brack leads the Strategic Programs team of GitHub’s Talent Acquisition which is the powerhouse for developing the strategies that will attract and bring the world's most innovative talent to GitHub. Throughout his career, he has launched programs globally that have delivered world class experiences and provided a gateway for talent to be successful. His personal purpose is to ensure that every candidate has an amazing encounter and is left with a positive mark that ultimately makes GitHub an employer of choice.

Liz Saling
Liz Saling
Director, Software Engineering

As part of GitHub’s Platform leadership team, Liz drives the program to keep its teams and systems healthy as the organization experiences record growth. She’s launched dozens of engineering teams and departments in her time through parts of Salesforce, Adobe, and Microsoft, and creates training programs and workshops to reinforce a culture of collaboration and innovation. Her mission is to help women become the best version of themselves in each of their roles, while she strives to find joy in all of hers.
