Candis Smith
Managing Director, Citi
Candis Smith is a distinguished Financial Services executive with 25+ years of experience at the intersection of Operations, Finance, and Technology. She currently serves as Head of Enterprise Strategic Execution for Enterprise Technology at Citigroup, where she drives strategy, governance, and oversight of the Enterprise Technology Book of Work. Her remit spans Application Management, Agile Transformation, Program and Project Management, Workforce Transformation, Release Train Engineer empowerment, and leadership of the LATAM Technology Cluster—empowering product and engineering teams to deliver critical outcomes across Audit, CSIS, CRS, Compliance, ESPA, HR, Legal, and CBNA.
Candis began her career on the trading floor at Goldman Sachs before spending 15 years at Deutsche Bank, where she led complex strategic, regulatory, and transformation initiatives. A lifelong learner, she holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Latin & Caribbean History from Rutgers University, is a certified PMP and Scaled Agilist, and earned an AI Strategy and Implementation certification for IT Business Leadership.
Originally from Trinidad, Candis now resides in Jacksonville, Florida, with her husband, four children, and parents. Beyond her corporate leadership, she serves on the Executive Committee and Board of the MaliVai Youth Foundation, reflecting her commitment to community impact.
