Dr. Korin Reid earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology where she leveraged Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research to determine cost-effective means of producing biofuels from biomass in the southeastern United State. In addition, Dr. Reid has held various Data Science roles in the healthcare space. This includes building massively scalable Machine Learning solutions scaling to billions of records and impacting more than 160 million covered lives and a third of US hospitals. For this effort, Dr. Reid was named to Forbes 2017 “30 Under 30” list in the Science category. Dr. Reid has a wealth of experience leading large Data organizations including Data Science, Data Engineering, and Software Development teams. Dr. Reid currently serves as CEO of Ellison Laboratories, a consulting firm that specializes in leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research to transform organizations in the healthcare, energy, and education technology verticals.
Pariss Athena is creator of the movement and community, #BlackTechTwitter, and Founder of Black Tech Pipeline. Black Tech Pipeline is a service based platform that brings exposure, resources, and opportunities to Black technologists, and their allies. With a strong focus on retention, Pariss connects employers to candidates within her community and works with those companies on their diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Marie Roker-Jones is the co-Ceo of Essteem, a startup that organizes hackathons for employers to recruit, hire, and retain women and people of color in tech. She is a social impact startup founder with over ten years of experience in leading gender and racial diversity strategies for inclusion and belonging. Marie has helped tech companies and startups with their diversity hiring goals through Veteran and military spouse initiatives. Marie also has workforce and career development experience creating workforce re-entry programs for underrepresented communities. Marie has facilitated dialogue in racial healing and debiasing through #CompassionConvos.
