Freddie Mac believes that top talent can come from anywhere, regardless of educational training or experience. Their Information Technology team is searching for talented professionals who are committed to self-growth and development to join the Fellows in Technology program, a new and innovative career path at Freddie Mac. This opportunity is ideal for mid-career individuals who may not have technology experience or may be self-taught. They also welcome individuals re-entering the workforce after temporarily stepping away from their careers to care for family or to serve our country. For this talk, PowerToFly's Deveshe Dutt is joined by Freddie Mac's Sara Singmaster, Vice President of Modern Delivery, to discuss FinTEC Fellowship Information and Networking Day (FIND).

I've Written A Comic, Scripts for Discovery & MTV & Worked In New Media
Prior to joining PowerToFly, where I am it's Founding Talent Manager, I wrote website content, brochures, flyers and ad copy for clients in India, France and America. I also did some script-writing for TV shows. These include scripts for a National Spell Bee that was aired on Discovery, a music show broadcast on MTV and online videos for a hair product launch. I enjoyed the work thoroughly but I must confess that my first love is comic books. I collect them and I've written one for Rovolt Media, which I hope will see the light of day soon.

Before going freelance, I worked as a Product Manager in the New Media division of Radio City, India. There, I managed a number of projects including the development of their award-winning music portal website. I have also worked as a copy-writer at a Mumbai-based ad agency.

Working at PowerToFly has been a life-changing experience. I love the adrenalin rush of working at a start-up and the joy of knowing that together the team is building something big, something that will make a difference for women all over the world.

I currently live in Goa, India with my dog. I'm working on two illustrated books - a visual travelogue of South America and the story of my misadventures as a first-time pet owner. I love to cycle, walk, swim, read and cook interesting food and I run a weekly film club. I haven't had a TV set in more than four years. Though I claim not to miss it at all, get me in front of one and I'm hypnotized.
