Meet The Speakers

Margie Painter
Margie Painter
Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP

Margie is a Principal in Deloitte’s Human Capital practice, specializing in integrating people issues with business strategy. With more than 20 years of industry and consulting experience, she has led and delivered all phases of organizational change initiatives. Margie has worked with organizations going through major enterprise wide transformations across the Financial Services industry. She currently leads the Human Capital Business Transformation Enablement practice and has previously led Human Capital’s Financial Services practice.

Margie has deep experience in change management and culture; learning design and development; leadership development; and led the consulting team responsible for transforming Deloitte’s leadership development and succession program for high potential partners. She has led global teams based in the United States and Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining Deloitte in 2004, Margie was Director of Learning for AXA Financial, leading development and delivery of learning programs for financial sales professionals at AXA Advisors University.

Fernando Cadena
Fernando Cadena
Manager, Organization Transformation

Fernando joined Deloitte nearly three years ago as Manager, Organization Transformation. As a proud member of the Latino community, Fernando leads various roles that enable him to drive Diversity & Inclusion initiatives to remove obstacles and provide support for historically marginalized communities.

Fernando is known for creating change management strategies that maximize employee readiness and adoption of those strategies. He thrives in building activities required to help global stakeholders understand, adjust to, and adopt the new practices, processes, and tools. He works with HR and business executives to ensure organizational effectiveness and applies behavioral tools to assess the impact of change.

He also leads and contributes to practice development initiatives including recruiting, internal community involvement, and internal culture building.

Lu Du
Lu Du
Manager, Human Capital

Lu specializes in the design and implementation of complex, large-scale HR transformation and shared service organization stand up. Lu has worked with many Fortune 100 companies during her tenure as a Human Capital consultant.

Lu’s experiences span the implementation lifecycle of global HR Transformation projects, including design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. She has a strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes and solutions design for HR organizations with complex technology landscapes. In addition, Lu has developed expertise in shared services design and implementation, technology evaluation and selection, organization sizing and design, testing strategy and execution, and deploying HR SaaS solutions including Workday and Salesforce.

Lu is also involved in advancing thought leadership on process design and HR operation excellence, leading the development and rollout of various tools and methodologies in this space.

Marin Heiskell

Manager, Human Capital

Marin Heiskell is a Human Capital Manager in the Organization Transformation and Talent service line with extensive experience developing and implementing talent and change management strategies, including communications and learning & development plans, diversity & inclusion labs, and recruiting & acquisition strategies. Marin has prior leadership and category management experience across various industries, including retail, financial services, and education/non-profit. She is passionate about aligning and implementing business initiatives that empower diverse, inclusive teams to execute impactful value propositions and drive profitable growth.

Keerat Bawa
Keerat Bawa
Manager, Human Capital

Keerat is a Manager at Deloitte Consulting LLP and belongs to the Human Resources Transformation (HRT) service line within the Human Capital practice. Her 7 years of consulting experience spans across Global HR Transformation projects which include Business Case Development, HR Process Design, HR Operations Design & Implementation, and Project Management. In addition, Keerat also has experience in Risk and Controls Assessment, HR Operations Documentation, Work activity Analysis and Testing. She brings expertise on the impacts between technology and process to deliver truly integrated solutions. She has had exposure to systems like Salesforce.com, ServiceNow, ConnectMe, Infor HRSD, Workday, SuccessFactors HCM, Workday, Infor HCM, SAP HCM and Cornerstone OnDemand (LMS). On her most recent engagement she led global design for HR Operations enabled by Infor and ServiceNow solutions.
