Meet The Speakers
As a Public Affairs Specialist, Natalia is part of the Tax Outreach, Partnership and Education Branch of the IRS. Although new to the IRS, her strong background in education and communication are instrumental in Natalia’s effective conveyance of necessary tax information with nontraditional tax communities.
After graduating from The Catholic University of America, Natalia started her career as a Baltimore and Washington DC Public school teacher. She later joined the Army as Broadcast Journalist with duty assignments in Germany. There, she was a radio and television host and writer/producer for American Forces Network. Natalia was also a media production and outreach specialist for the First Infantry Division.
As a civilian, aside from teaching, she had the privilege of being the Lead Writer and Editor for Arlington National Cemetery. She was Public Affairs Chief for First Army Division East and worked in publications and global outreach for DoDEA school systems.
Most recently, Natalia was the Director of Communications for Army Futures Command Air and Missile Defense and a Public Affairs Specialist with Veteran Affairs.
Natalia also studied film at Morgan State University and is currently finishing an additional master’s degree in Education concentrating in Curriculum Instruction and Design.
Priscilla is a Bilingual Public Affairs Specialist with Tax Outreach, Partnership and Education. She specializes in partnering with national organizations that can benefit from tax information, especially for Spanish-speaking communities and outside of the traditional tax communities.
She has been with the Internal Revenue Service since 2007. Priscilla began her career with the Internal Revenue Service as a data transcriber representative. Soon after, she joined the audit department as an examiner, in which she learned a wide range of the department’s laws, principles and procedures in depth. She later was able to assist constituents by becoming a Case Advocate, with Taxpayer Advocate Service.
As a senior advocate and analyst, she assisted the taxpayer in technical and procedural tax cases covering issues encountered in the TAS office while concentrating on those with the most complicating or specialized factors.
Priscilla has acquired basic knowledge of accounting and knowledge of examination techniques, the interrelationships between Federal and state laws, and general and geographic business practices.
