I am a Luxury Fashion Designer & Consultant. I moved to Silicon Valley due to my husband’s work but there is zero work in my industry here. I have applied for jobs where I can work remotely which is the norm now but I seem to have ‘too many skills’ according to recruiters. I am constantly applying for various jobs and tailoring my CV according to the job to show relevant experience. I am also looking for luxury companies abroad (happy to move back to Europe) but Luxury roles are usually not being advertised or I don’t get a response or acknowledgement at all. I’ve called recruitment agents but they get ‘confused’ as they can’t pigeon hole me into a position. What would your advice be ?
